Vampires vs Werewolves

Thu Jul 9, 2009, 9:21 AM
I'm pretty sure almost everyone with 5 senses as a member of the global reality has seen a story or a movie about vampires or werewolves. But have any of you ever wondered where all that stuff came from? Why they are weak against light? or why do vampires get hurt from the cross, cannot enter a chapel and so on?

Interested? Here's what I think about the actual person's way of thought, feelings or whatever you could name the following stuff I'm about to spare.

Vampires:

Vampires are the undead; the restless souls (those in lust, in search for reality); whom feeds upon the opposing gender's blood (the truth) which is hidden underneath the seen part of a person. Which is friggin scary, that is for a human to lose blood, die, and be the same as them (addicts of the reality itself). In most scenarios, vampires aim for the girl whom has no fear, of being rendered defenseless and the feeling of insecurity as their wives. Get it?

And there is the religion part of the story. All the chapel, cross and the light keep constantly getting in the way of the vampire and his/her "victim". (In which, what a vampire does is immoral, against the god's intended "way" for his people.) Religion "protects" those people, from "turning" (awakening) to the "dark" (real) side. Even though it seems like "the light"'s doing the "good" thing, by protecting the people from their fear that is, gains the control yet again.

In other words, vampire stories are of the sad ones, where the actual hero is the one being pushed away, getting killed, while trying to free other people of their own chains, and by doing so ease their pain caused by their loneliness. Hasn't the history shown the same thing for scientists? Revolutionists? Whatsoeverists? I'm not choosing sides here, just stating what i see when i read a vampire related story, though some bastard probably thought of it way before and made some bunch of money out of it, that is if this has any worth. I'll add werewolves too, as soon as i can put my thoughts together...

Werewolves:

Werewolves, unlike the vampires, even though in most cases they are represtented as blood-related, are mostly seen as "humanoids" whom turn into a half wolf - half human creature, with the lust for blood of people, during a full moon, or just at night in some cases. The lust for blood can be, yet again, interpreted as a search for the sense of reality, and the human form usually is a person in 100% control of their feelings and environment at all times. Sort of a "green HULK" situation, more or less.

Werewolves tend to be afraid of their potential, while human that is, of the destruction they could bring if they lose their senses again. Which causes them to draw themselves apart from the ones they value.

This is just a shortened version of the whole thing now, for the whole thing [link]
